Kathak Exponent, Disciple of Padmashree Shovana Narayan
Mrinalini has been chiseled by her Guru to near perfection. Born in 1993, she has been learning the nuances of the dance form from the age of six. She is now a professional dancer who has performed on various stages in India and abroad, including some notable festivals such as the Konark Dance Festival, Kurukshetra Festival, and Vrindavan Festival.
Mrinalini holds a Nritya Prabhakar in Kathak from Prayag Sangit Samiti. She is also a recipient of the prestigious Scholarship to Young Artists awarded by the Sahitya Kala Parishad in the field of classical music and dance, for the period of two years.
In her journey towards becoming a dancer, Mrinalini has not left her academics behind. She is a graduate in Statistics from Delhi’s Lady Shri Ram College for Women. She is currently pursuing higher studies at the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, Delhi University, in the field of Operations Research.
Mrinalini’s most recent performance at the inaugural ceremony of Ganges-Danube Festival with her Guru at the Indian Embassy in Budapest, Hungary received critical acclaim.
